Joseph Pesek received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He did a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA before becoming Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Northern Illinois University. He moved to San Jose State University becoming Professor of Chemistry and has also served as Department Chair, and Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. He has over 225 publications, 3 books, 4 patents and has made over 200 presentations at a variety of symposia and meetings. He is one of the editors for the Journal of Separation Science.

Dr. Paraskevas D. Tzanavaras received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2003 from the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail Murat Palabiyik graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ankara and obtained PhD from Department of Analytical Chemistry, Facult of Pharmacy, University of Ankara. Currently, he is working in same department. His current researches are synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, DNA – drug interactions, investigating of anticancer effects of natural plant compounds, developing analytical techniques for drug analysis from dosage forms and biological fluids using with capillary electrophoresis, high performance liquid chromatography, spectrofluorimetry and UV spectrophotometry. Beside this, for investigating effects of experimental factors on analysis in HPLC and CE methods, he utilized Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Also, he is specialized in chemometry and worked one year in department of pharmacology and studied diabetes treatment. Dr. CAGLAR ANDAC is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Istanbul University. She studied Chemical Engineering, had Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees at Istanbul University, Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry on drug analysis in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids by spectrophotometric and liquid chromatographic methods. She conducted post-doctoral research at Medical Center of Munich University, Institute of Laboratory Medicine Laboratory of Bio-Separation with a main focus of hyphenation of mass spectrometry with on-line sample processing between the years 2011-2013. She has researches and publications on drug analysis in biological fluids by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, on-line solid phase extraction coupled liquid chromatography, multidimensional chromatography, spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry including validation, degradation and pharmacokinetic studies. She is also serving as reviewer for several reputed journals like Journal of Mass Spectrometry, Journal of Chromatography B, Luminescence, Journal of Fluorescence, Journal of AOAC International, Analytical Methods, Analytical Letters and some others.

Dr. CAGLAR ANDAC is eager to expand on knowledge in the field of Omics through both observation and experimentation methodologies. He is also working as Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) and as a Course Coordinator, MS (Pharm) in pharmaceutics, at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Raebareli under the aegis of Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India. Gerhard Kratz has completed his studies at University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. His dissertation was about Planning, calculation and construction of a Fluidized bed reactor. Deepening during his studies was Water economy, chemical technology, plastic technology, varnish and paints, oil processing. First positions in industry were in pharmaceutical industry doing HPLC method development on various HPLC brands. Specialized in HPLC column selection and teaching customers in troubleshooting all over the world he is supporting several internet forums for HPLC questions. He is interested in troubleshooting.

Vladimir Matveevich Gruznov, Doctor of Sciences (Chromatography, Geophysics), Science Deputy Director of Trophimuk Institute of petroleum geology and geophysics Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk). Field of work: substance and elemental analysis for explosives detection, geophysics and ecological monitoring. Developed the concept for high-speed highly sensitive gas chromatography detection of EXPLOSIVES and chemical control of the environment. Dr. Rogatsky serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Chromatography and Separation Techniques (OMICS publishing group). Overall, he has made more than a hundred scientific presentations and publications. Dr. Rogatsky completed his M.Sc. in physical chemistry at Belarus State University (former USSR) in 1990. Oleg Shpigun received Ph.D. (1974) and Doctor of Sciences (1990) degrees in chemistry from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). He is the corresponding-member of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) (2006), full professor in the Department of Chemistry, MSU, the head of laboratory of chromatography, the head of Analytical Center of MSU. His research program is concerned with basic studies and applications of chromatographic methods of analysis. He has published more than 300 papers in reputed journals. Bill Whitford is Sr. Manager, Cell Culture, GE Healthcare in Logan, UT with over 20 years experience in biotechnology product and process development. Dr. Guzman has worked for the last 30 years in academic medical institutions, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies, including Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Roche Diagnostic Systems, Hoffman-La Roche, and Johnson & Johnson. Gilles Goetz is a Principal Scientist at Pfizer in Groton, Connecticut, USA. Gilles received his B.Sc. (1991) and Ph.D. (1995) at the University of Strasbourg in France. After post docs at the University of Hawaii (1996-97) and of Neuchatel (CH) (1998-99) studying marine and fungal natural products, he joined Monsanto in 2000. There he worked through mergers and acquisitions for Pharmacia and Pfizer successively in the Natural Product group, the HTS group (analytical support), and the Purification Group. In 2010 he transferred to the Expert Purification Group at Pfizer Groton and in 2011 to the Molecular Properties Group. He is part of the team influencing medicinal chemistry design through insights into molecular properties such as polarity, lipophilicity, shape, and conformation that will impact molecular behaviors like solubility, permeability, and efflux. They develop and use mainly chromatographic techniques (EPSA) to assess those properties, and work towards predicting molecular behaviors.

Prof. Ravi Bhushan has an expertise in enantiomeric resolution of compounds of pharmaceutical importance using liquid chromatography. So far, he has guided 28 doctoral and 50 Masters’ theses, published more than 230 research papers in international refereed journals and chapters in books and encyclopedia. He edited four Special Issues of Biomedical Chromatography on Chiral Resolutions as Guest Editor. He received Alexander von Humboldt fellowship of Germany in 1988, and European Economic Community Fellowship in 1992. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London, and Fellow National Academy of Sciences India, (FNASc). He received the ‘Outstanding Teacher Award’ of the year 2007 of IIT Roorkee, and Khosla Research Prize and Silver Medal of Univ of Roorkee.

Ravi Bhushan current interest includes enantioseparation with both achiral phases of chromatography in the absence of any external chiral species.

Yuichi Negishi was born in Saitama, Japan, in 1972. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry in 2001 from Keio University. Before joining the Tokyo University of Science in 2008, he was employed at Keio University and at the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS). Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor at the Tokyo University of Science. He is now the professor of Tokyo University of Science, Japan. He has over 150 publications that have been cited over 8,000 times. In his publications, 10 papers are/were categorized to Top 1% Cited Papers and 18 papers were selected as Cover Picture of the Journal. His publication H-index is 47. He has been awarded several prizes, including the PCCP Prize (2007), CSJ Award for Young Chemists (2008), Japan Society of Molecular Science Award for Young Chemists (2012), Yagami Prize (2017), and IUPAC Distinguish Award 2018 for Novel Materials and Their Synthesis (2018).

Madhuri Singhal has completed her PhD at Dr Hari Singh Gaur University, Sagar and Postdoctoral work at Allahabad University, Allahabad. Her research area is the role of natural products from medicinal plants in drug discovery and development. She has presented research papers in international conferences in Australia in 2005 and was invited as visiting academic in 2006 at Australian University. She has presented papers in USA in 2009 and 2015. In 2010, she has presented research paper at Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand. In 2011, she has presented paper in Hong Kong. She is an Editorial Board Member of an international research journal. More than 30 research papers have been published. At present, she is a Professor of Chemistry in Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, Bhopal.

I’m born in Skopje, Republic North Macedonia in 1982. I received my Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science in 2015 from the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” and a specialization degree in the field of Heath Sciences (Drug Quality Control). I work as an Assistant Professor of Physical Pharmacy and Instrumental Pharmaceutical Analysis at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Macedonia. Besides doing teaching and educational activities, since 2007 I have actively been participating in the work of the Center for Drug Quality Control (full member General European OMCL network). I have been involved in revision of Ph Eur. Monographs, collaborative studies for establishment of reference standards, conducting pharmaceutical analysis and numerous activities connected with the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025. I’ve been active participant of several national projects. I’m an author and coauthor of over 30 research papers. In addition, I’m a reviewer in several international journals with factor of influence.

My scientific-research work is directed towards development of contemporary analytical methods for impurity profile of active substance in different pharmaceutical dosage forms; development of bio-analytical methods, application of multivariate experimental design approach for the method development.

He served as Guest Editor and Member of Editorial Board of several international journals. He has been honored with the first Prize of Scientific Research in 2008 by the Moroccan Association of Research and Development and the first Prize of the Federation of Arab Scientific Councils in 2016. Yuichi Negishi was born in Saitama, Japan, in 1972. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry in 2001 from Keio University. Before joining the Tokyo University of Science in 2008, he was employed at Keio University and at the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS). Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor at the Tokyo University of Science. He is now a professor at the Tokyo University of Science, Japan. He has over 150 publications that have been cited over 8,000 times. In his publications, 10 papers are/were categorized as Top 1% Cited Papers and 18 papers were selected as Cover Picture of the Journal. His publication H-index is 47. He leads the Team of Organic Chemistry and the Physico-Chemical Studies at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Mohammed V University of Rabat, Morocco where he is currently working as deputy director and a full professor.
